Sunset on the Left Coast

A lot of things can be said of California, both good and bad. But one thing that everyone I have ever met agrees on, San Diego has some of the best weather in the country. Here's a picture near the Mission Beach Park. Sunsets like this are a daily affair here. Another cool thing about this shot, Liberty Call is literally 5 minutes away. There is a really nice spot to hang out just to the right, out of frame of this picture. Its called the Sandbar and it has some really good food as well having enough TVs to watch any sport your heart desires. I like to stop in here on Saturday night for a bite to eat and a beer and watch some college football before heading back to the boat.

A New Paint Job!

I finally got around to getting Liberty Call hauled out and painted. I wanted to take advantage of an offer I had from Driscoll Boatyard that offered to waive the haul out fees since I had LC surveyed there. I'm glad I did. They did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier. I also had those stickers removed as well as the old name off the transom. Its now a polished hull waiting for her new name to be applied. Here's a mockup I put together in Adobe Illustrator that I like, hopefully, this won't be too hard to reproduce on a large scale.
