Sunset on the Left Coast

A lot of things can be said of California, both good and bad. But one thing that everyone I have ever met agrees on, San Diego has some of the best weather in the country. Here's a picture near the Mission Beach Park. Sunsets like this are a daily affair here. Another cool thing about this shot, Liberty Call is literally 5 minutes away. There is a really nice spot to hang out just to the right, out of frame of this picture. Its called the Sandbar and it has some really good food as well having enough TVs to watch any sport your heart desires. I like to stop in here on Saturday night for a bite to eat and a beer and watch some college football before heading back to the boat.

  1. Hey Cap'n Rob! Congratulations on the new boat, I think you'll enjoy the lifestyle. I work in the merchant marines and part time live aboard my 27' Albin Vega sloop. Thought you might find some interest in this (and possibly draw some inspiration).
http://setsail.com/s_logs-dashew-dashew337 The top boat is a 33 Morgan named Liberty Call, I believe it also hails from Cali. The owner spent some time cruising the Pacific all the way to New Zealand etc... May be a different model 33 Morgan but neat similarity nonetheless. Enjoy your time on the water, Richard
